We use quality Australian trade paints suited to each surface, and we are happy to work with a brand you prefer. We talk products through with you when we quote.

Do you supply the paint?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we can supply everything, or use paint you have already bought. Either way we confirm products before the job starts.

Question 15

Can you help me choose colours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Colour advice is part of what we do. We help you shortlist options and put sample patches on the wall so you can see them in real light before committing.

Question 16

Do you prepare the surfaces or just paint?

Accepted Answer

Preparation is most of a good paint job. We wash, scrape, sand, fill and prime before top coats go on.

Question 17

Can you repair holes in the wall before painting?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Plaster patching and repair is one of our services, and we blend and paint the repair so it disappears.

Question 18

Do you remove wallpaper?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We strip wallpaper, clean off the paste, repair the wall and paint it.

Question 19

Can you paint kitchen cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cabinet painting gives a kitchen a new look for a fraction of replacement cost. Doors and drawers are removed, prepared and finished with hard-wearing enamel.

Question 20

Do you epoxy garage floors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We grind and prepare the slab, repair damage and apply epoxy coatings in solid colours or decorative flake.

Question 33

How long does it take to paint a 3 bedroom house?

Accepted Answer

A full interior repaint of a 3 bedroom home typically takes a week to ten days with proper preparation, and a single room a day or two. Anyone promising a whole house in two or three days is telling you which steps they plan to skip.

Question 34

Do painters supply the paint?

Accepted Answer

Usually yes, and it works out better that way. Painters get trade pricing, and we specify the right product for each surface: washable low-sheen for walls, flat for ceilings, gloss or semi-gloss for trim and mould-resistant formulas for wet areas.

Question 35

Is it worth painting kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them?

Accepted Answer

When the cabinet boxes are sound and the layout works, yes. Professional cabinet painting typically costs 10 to 20 percent of a full kitchen replacement and the room reads as new. If the carcasses are water-damaged or the layout has to change, replacement is the honest answer and we will tell you.

Question 36

Is roof painting worth it?

Accepted Answer

When the roof is structurally sound but the coating has faded or grown moss, yes. Painting protects the surface and lifts the whole street view for a fraction of replacement cost. It is not a repair: broken tiles, rust and failed pointing get fixed first or the coating is wasted.

Question 37

What should I ask a painter before hiring?

Accepted Answer

Ask for a written itemised quote, what preparation is included, how many coats, which paint brand and product line, who actually does the work, and how your floors and gardens are protected. Then check recent local Google reviews. Good painters welcome every one of those questions.

Question 38

How much do painters charge per hour in Melbourne?

Accepted Answer

Most professional painters quote per job, not per hour, because preparation varies so much between homes. Published Melbourne guides put interior work at roughly $20 to $60 per square metre. The only number that counts is a written quote for your actual surfaces.
